The Executive is pleased to offer two $500 Scholarships to two students of CUPE Local 1851 Members
– a Custodial, Maintenance or IT Employee of SD #35.
- A child of an active CUPE 1851 member (child defined as: Child, Grandchild, Step-Child, Foster-Child)
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Graduating from high school in the current year
- They must enroll and attend within 12 months from when they receive the scholarship cheque.
- If scholarship has not been awarded under the above conditions, any post secondary student who is a member’s child, may apply.
- One student may not apply more than once.
APPLICATION CRITERIA:
- Need to provide documentation of registration at a post-secondary institution of their choice.
- Completed application form and submitted by May 15th.
- Please attach a short explanation (<500 words) of your post-secondary goals and how this
scholarship would meet those goals. - Please attach an informative report of the role of public service or trade unions in Canada.
